Our Residential Care Home in Chippenham, The
Priory, is a large Edwardian house, recently
listed by English Heritage as a "fine
example" of the period. Originally built in
the early 1900s, it is a stunning timber
framed property with a delightful
south-facing panelled drawing room with a
moulded and carved fireplace, set in its own
gardens in a quiet residential area of
Chippenham. Yet it is only around 1/2
mile from the town centre of Chippenham, a
bustling county town.
The majority of our
bedrooms are located on the ground floor and
they all are fitted with a call system, a
smoke detector, personal safe and have
en-suite facilities.
Telephone and television points are also
available in all of our rooms.
We are constantly on the
lookout for new things to do. Typical of the
activities we offer are musical afternoons,
garden visits, pub lunches, coffee mornings
as well as seasonal events including summer
fetes, Christmas parties and trips to the
seaside. Residents are welcome to bring
along friends and family.
We also encourage our
residents to maintain and build links with
the local community as well as their hobbies
and interests.
We pride ourselves on
creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere - a
home from home and we are particularly proud
of our home cooking using fresh, seasonal
produce from local suppliers wherever
possible as well as our own home-grown
vegetables and salads from the garden.
